“The NSC Border Service has prevented the transportation of a record batch of narcotics across the state border. Thus, on May 31 of this year, at the B. Konysbayev checkpoint in Turkestan region, border guards with the use of a service dog in a heavy-duty truck found and seized suspicious substances hidden in containers for shoe polish. An examination showed that the substances contained heroin, the total weight of which was 775 kg. The cost of the drugs found on the black market could be more than $15 million,” the statement said on Friday.
Two foreign citizens were detained on suspicion of committing this crime and taken into custody with the court’s sanction.
