Group of suspected extremists detained in Astana and Koshy

Astana. January 24. KazTAG – The NSC officers, with the support of the prosecutor's office in Astana and Koshy, have detained four people suspected of promoting terrorism, recruiting and extremist activities, reports  the press service of the National Security Committee.
“On January 22, the National Security Committee, in coordination with the prosecutor's offices in the cities of Astana and Koshy in the Akmola region, detained four citizens of Kazakhstan. They are suspected of promoting terrorism, organizing and participating in extremist activities, as well as recruiting new followers,” reads the report.
Religious materials and other evidence were seized from them.
