10 cases of organized crime groups are under investigation in Almaty

Almaty. January 24. KazTAG – Almaty police are investigating 10 cases related to organized crime, including the creation of a transnational group, reports the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“Almaty police are investigating ten cases related to the creation of an organized crime group, one of which is the creation and management of a transnational criminal organization,” reads the report.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 22 people associated with the criminal world were eliminated in 2024. 99 firearms were also seized: 18 pistols, six machine guns, 26 rifles, seven rifles, six sawed-off shotguns, 35 traumatic weapons, 15 grenades and more than 1,456 rounds of ammunition.
