“I would like to thank the Japanese side for their assistance. During floods, our hydraulic structures handled large volumes of water without any accidents. To ensure the stable operation of these facilities in the future, we need to carefully study their condition, identify possible vulnerabilities and take measures to eliminate them in advance,” said Nurzhan Nurzhigitov , Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation.
Japanese experts are inspecting 13 hydraulic structures in four regions of Kazakhstan to prepare for the flood period next year.
During the floods, equipment received the greatest load in the Kostanay, Akmola, Aktobe regions and the Abay region.
