About 130 criminals wanted internationally were detained in Kazakhstan in 2024

Astana. February 19. KazTAG – About 130 criminals wanted internationally were detained in Kazakhstan in 2024, reports the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“During operational and investigative activities in 2024, employees of the Transport Police Department identified and detained 127 criminals wanted internationally. Of these, 50 criminals were citizens of Russia, Uzbekistan, Armenia, China, India, Turkey, Poland and Azerbaijan. All detainees were placed in temporary detention facilities of the city police departments, and 77 were handed over to the initiators of the search,” reads the report.
Since the beginning of this year, 23 criminals have been detained, seven of whom were placed in temporary detention facilities, and 16 were handed over to the initiators of the search. According to the data, the detainees mainly include persons who have committed serious and especially serious crimes.
