Tokayev met with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov

Astana. October 10. KazTAG – President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, reports Akorda.
“The official visit of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Turkmenistan began with a meeting with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov , Chairman of Halk Maslakhaty,” said  the report.
The President expressed gratitude to the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty for hospitality and noted his personal contribution to the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
The head of state emphasized that Kazakh-Turkmen relations are developing dynamically in the spirit of friendship, good neighborliness and mutual support. According to him, the official visit to Turkmenistan is intended to bring interstate relations to a qualitatively new level.
“We approach the issue of developing cooperation with your country with great responsibility. We are strategic partners. Today you spoke about the work of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission. I also observed the work, instructed the Government on the direction to move, what decisions to make, since truly friendly relations with Turkmenistan are a priority for us," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov welcomed the President of Kazakhstan and expressed confidence that the agreements to be reached during his official visit to Turkmenistan would contribute to enhancement of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
