President Nazarbayev's last untouchable appointee stripped of immunity

Astana. January 25. KazTAG - Kairat Kozhamzharov, who was the last one whom Nursultan Nazarbayev had granted parliamentary immunity, officially lost this immunity.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree on terminating the powers of Senator Kozhamzharov.
Kozhamzharov has been a senator, and, accordingly, has had parliamentary immunity from March 19, 2019.  The decree on the appointment of Kozhamzharov as a senator was one of the last signed by Nursultan Nazarbayev as president of Kazakhstan - a few hours after that, he officially announced his resignation of presidential powers.
Kozhamzharov headed the financial police and was the prosecutor general, and during this period there were high-profile resonant criminal cases, which subsequently either fell apart or were recognized as fabricated and politically motivated.
