An advertisement for the sale of the Order of Friendship, which Kazakhstan presented to former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, appeared on the website of the British company Peter Harrington. It turned out to be sold from her property. According to the description, Margaret Thatcher was awarded the order in 2001.
“Apparently, this was done secretly, since no public records of the award could be found. Since then, the medal has been awarded to Hillary Clinton, Ban Ki-moon and Lee Kuan Yew," reads the message posted on the website.
Thatcher held meetings with former Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
