National Bank's Anti-Fraud Center recorded almost 18,000 incidents and returned T89 million to citizens

Astana. February 3. KazTAG - The National Bank's Anti-Fraud Center recorded about 17,802 incidents, as a result of which it blocked about T1.5 billion and returned T88.9 million to victims, reports the National Bank.
"Over six months of work within the platform, 17,802 incidents were recorded, as a result of which about T1.5 billion was blocked in a timely manner, of which T1.1 billion was on the side of the sending bank, T343.4 million - by the receiving bank. T88.9 million was voluntarily returned to victims," the report said.
According to the Anti-Fraud Center, the most common types of fraud are: telephone - 26.2% of the total number of incidents, false investment - 19.5%, fraud in social networks and instant messengers - 15.9%.
