Ministry of Transport promised to start building airports in three resort areas of Kazakhstan in 2025

Almaty. September 30. KazTAG – The Ministry of Transport promised to start building airports in Kazakhstan’s resort areas: Katon-Karagay, Zaysan and Kenderli, in 2025.
The construction of all three airports (in the resort areas of Katon-Karagay, Zaysan and Kenderli) will begin in 2025, said the Ministry of Transport.
According to the information, in the Katon-Karagay district, a new airport will be built between the villages of Katon-Karagay and Ulken Naryn, near the village of Soldatovo, 38 km from the village of Katon-Karagay, in Zaysan - on the territory of the former military airfield named after Satpayev, 25 km from the city of Zaysan.
First, an artificial runway  2200 m long will be built for aircraft such as Q400, ATR 42/72, CRJ200.
