"The incidence of anthrax over the last 10 months of 2024 has decreased by half compared to the same period in 2023. In total, 17 cases of the disease have been registered this year," reads the report.
Anthrax is a particularly dangerous infectious disease that affects farm and wild animals, as well as humans. The disease is often accompanied by a severe course and can be fatal. The causative agent of anthrax is the anthrax microbe, which survives in the soil for many years.
Infection occurs through contact with sick animals, their meat and livestock products, as well as through the soil.
