Kazakhstan plans to spend T720 billion on commissioning 1.7 GW of renewable energy

Almaty. December 31. KazTAG – Kazakhstan plans to spend T720 billion on commissioning 66 new renewable energy projects with a total capacity of 1.7 GW, reports Kazenergy , Kazakhstan Association of Oil, Gas and Energy Complex.
“Today, 148 renewable energy facilities with a total capacity of 2.9 GW are operating in Kazakhstan, including wind, solar, hydro and biogas stations. It is planned to commission 66 new renewable energy projects with a total capacity of 1.7 GW for about T720 billion,” said  the report.
Eight new renewable energy projects with a total capacity of 163 MW will be commissioned by the end of the year.
