Kazakhstan insurers received T1 trillion in premiums for January-September

Almaty. November 5. KazTAG - Insurance premiums for January-September 2024 amounted to T1 trillion, reports the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market.
"Insurance premiums for September 2024 amounted to T117 billion. Since the beginning of 2024, insurance premiums amounted to T1 trillion, which is 49.5% more than for the same period in 2023," reads the report.
Insurance premiums are growing mainly due to voluntary personal insurance - T546 billion for the first nine months of 2024, 123% more than in the same period of 2023, especially premiums for pension annuity insurance.
For voluntary property insurance, insurance premiums have grown up by 5% since the beginning of the year to T349 billion, mainly due to a 16% increase in premiums for property damage insurance.
As for compulsory insurance, insurance premiums have grown up by 29% since the beginning of the year to T188 billion, mainly due to a 66% increase in employee accident insurance, taking into account the unification of this class of insurance with voluntary personal annuity insurance.
