"Insurance premiums for September 2024 amounted to T117 billion. Since the beginning of 2024, insurance premiums amounted to T1 trillion, which is 49.5% more than for the same period in 2023," reads the report.
Insurance premiums are growing mainly due to voluntary personal insurance - T546 billion for the first nine months of 2024, 123% more than in the same period of 2023, especially premiums for pension annuity insurance.
For voluntary property insurance, insurance premiums have grown up by 5% since the beginning of the year to T349 billion, mainly due to a 16% increase in premiums for property damage insurance.
As for compulsory insurance, insurance premiums have grown up by 29% since the beginning of the year to T188 billion, mainly due to a 66% increase in employee accident insurance, taking into account the unification of this class of insurance with voluntary personal annuity insurance.
