“Following the talks, a number of bilateral documents were signed, including: a roadmap between the governments of Kazakhstan and Belarus on the development of trade and economic cooperation for 2025-2029, aimed at replenishing the pool of joint projects and establishing closer ties between business circles,” reads the report.
Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko held talks in Minsk.
Special attention was paid to the export potential of Kazakhstani companies producing railway products and having the ability to establish supplies of sleeper fastenings to rails, fitting platforms, railway wheels, units and assemblies to Belarus.
According to the data, the volume of mutual trade between Kazakhstan and Belarus for the first eight months of 2024 amounted to $600 million. Flour products from Kazakhstan (share in exports is 10.2%) and others are in demand on the Belarusian market. At the same time, positive dynamics are observed in the field of road transport: for the first nine months of 2024, volumes increased by 19% and reached 450.6 thousand tons.
