Astana. November 18. KazTAG – The Committee for Penitentiary System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan named the institution where former Minister of National Economy Kuandyk Bishimbayev is serving his sentence, Zhanna Urazbakhova, the lawyer for Saltanat Nukenova’s family, reported on her Instagram page.
“Currently, convicted Bishimbayev K.V. is serving his sentence in institution No. 5 of the UIS department for the Akmola region,” the CPS responded to Urazbakhova’s lawyer’s request.
A number of Russian Telegram channels had spread reports that Bishimbayev allegedly escaped.
