CSTO made statement regarding peacekeeping mission of Kazakhstan in the Golan Heights

Astana. June 25. KazTAG – The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) made a statement regarding Kazakhstan’s peacekeeping mission in the Golan Heights.
“The CSTO Permanent Council (...) welcomes the independent participation of the national peacekeeping contingent of Kazakhstan as part of the UN force monitoring the disengagement in the Golan Heights and expresses confidence that this experience will serve as a practical contribution to further building the potential of the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces and expanding the range of their capabilities,”  reads the statement quoted by the CSTO press service.
The organization announced the continuation of systematic training of contingents of the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces, both according to national programs and in the format of regular joint peacekeeping exercises of the CSTO “Indestructible Brotherhood”, including taking into account UN standards.
“Being committed to the provisions of the CSTO collective security strategy for the period until 2025, in the context of the possible involvement of CSTO peacekeeping forces in the UN peacekeeping operations, the organization  confirms the readiness of the CSTO member states to interact in the field of peacekeeping with the UN,” reads the statement
