“Users of mobile devices will receive a test alert marked “National Alert”, for some users of devices with the Android operating system, marked “Presidential Alert”, reads the message.
The akimat again explained why the alerts are “Presidential”.
“In accordance with the international specification, all phone manufacturers use these names at the operating system level of their mobile devices when government agencies launch test or emergency alerts,” reads the statement.
It is noted that iPhone owners will receive notifications on their phones only with iOS 18 software.
