About 17 billion cubic meters of water sent to Caspian Sea

Astana. November 4. KazTAG – About 17 billion cubic meters of water were sent to the Caspian Sea, reports the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation.
“16.7 billion cubic meters of water have been sent to the Caspian Sea since the beginning of the year through the Zhaiyk River,” reads the report.
The average long-term flow of the Zhaiyk River is 9.46 cubic km. In 2024 the volume of water exceeded the average long-term norm.
