Zhibek Zholy checkpoint will be closed for four months on border with Uzbekistan

Astana. February 5. KazTAG - The Zhibek Zholy checkpoint will be closed for four months on the border with Uzbekistan, said the press service of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan.
"In connection with the closure by the Uzbek side to complete the construction of the Gisht-Kuprik checkpoint for four months, the Zhibek Zholy checkpoint on the Kazakh side will also be closed from February 5, 2025," reads the statement.
Individuals crossing the border through the above checkpoints on foot and in vehicles for personal use must reconsider their routes.
