Multiple through-and-through damages by foreign metal objects discovered on AZAL plane

Astana. February 5. KazTAG – Multiple through-and-through damages by foreign metal objects were discovered on the Azerbaijan Airlines Baku-Grozny plane, which crashed near Aktau in Kazakhstan.
“Most of the through-and-through damages were discovered in the vertical stabilizer and tail. Visual inspection of the through-and-through damages shows that some of them are through-and-through, while others are blind/non-through damages. (…) To determine the nature and origin of the through-and-through damages caused by foreign objects, appropriate studies and examinations will be conducted,” reports the preliminary report on the results of the air crash investigation.
