New security system for tourists introduced in Kazakhstan

Astana. February 5. KazTAG — A new security system for tourists has been introduced in Kazakhstan, reports the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“Now, every foreigner, upon entering the country, including when passing through border control, can receive a special card with a QR code leading to the electronic multilingual portal SafeTravel.kz,” reads the report.
The portal provides the necessary information and recommendations for the safe stay of tourists in Kazakhstan, as well as links to download useful mobile applications.
According to the data, the first cards with a QR code have already begun to be handed out to foreign guests at the capital’s international airport.
SafeTravel.kz offers:
Mobile application "102" for instant communication with the police, including via the SOS function;
A reminder on compliance with migration legislation;
A map of the city of stay with a link to popular applications;
A list of official taxis and online services;
A list of telecom operators with a link to their official websites;
Action algorithms for various incidents;
Contacts of other emergency services - ambulance, fire department, unified rescue service.
