Tokayev orders to take urgent security measures due to escalation of situation around Ukraine

Astana. November 22. KazTAG – President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has ordered to take urgent security measures due to the escalation of the situation around Ukraine, said Berik Uali, president’s spokesman.
"Tokayev instructed the prime minister, the head of the presidential administration, the heads of all law enforcement agencies and akims to take urgent measures to ensure the security of key military and civilian facilities due to the escalation of the situation around Ukraine," Uali wrote on his social media page on Friday night.
He added that the chairmen of the chambers of the parliament of Kazakhstan have been informed of the measures being taken.
"The state of affairs in the country is under the personal control of the president. For our state, the main strategic goal is to maintain stability, peace, law and order. Kazakhstan has repeatedly advocated for a solution to the issue of ending hostilities between the two Slavic peoples through negotiations,” Uali added.
