Prices for gasoline and other fuel and lubricants are expected to rise in Kazakhstan

Astana. January 29. KazTAG – A gradual increase in prices for petroleum products, including gasoline and liquefied gas, will begin in February, said Almasadam Satkaliyev, Energy Minister.
"We expect a preliminary smooth increase in fuel and lubricants as early as February of this year. Also, in the near future, from the beginning of February, for liquefied gas," said Satkaliyev.
According to the minister, this year the government plans to liberalize fuel and lubricants prices, but without any sharp jumps.
"A decision has already been made on the increase in the cost of petroleum products. We are talking about the liberalization of fuel and lubricants prices. There will also be a gradual increase in prices for liquefied petroleum gas, and there are certain indicators for commercial gas associated with a price increase. The government's main message is that it retains regulatory and administrative control measures. That is, a sharp increase in prices will not be allowed,” said Almasadam Satkaliyev.
For commercial gas, the first price increase for market participants is expected in the summer of 2025.
