Passenger’s backpack caught fire on plane during a flight from Astana to Aktau

Astana. February 24. KazTAG – During the flight FS 7375 from Astana to Aktau, a backpack of one of the passengers caught fire in the overhead luggage compartment of the plane, reported the press service of FlyArystan.
"On February 23, 2025, during flight FS 7375 on the Astana-Aktau route, a passenger's backpack caught fire in the overhead luggage compartment of the plane," reads the statement.
Flight attendants quickly extinguished the fire.
There were 182 passengers on board. The plane returned to the departure airport.
The flight was rescheduled for 17:10 Astana time. Passengers were offered a free rebooking or refund.
