Operation of Kazakh-Chinese border checkpoints will be suspended

Astana. January 21. KazTAG – From 20:00 on January 27 to 08:00 on February 1, 2025, operation of checkpoints on the Kazakh-Chinese border will be suspended due to the Spring Festival in China, said the press service of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan.
"The State Revenue Committee informs that in connection with the Spring Festival in China, from 20:00 on January 27, 2025 to 08:00 on February 1, 2025, the passage of persons, vehicles and cargo at automobile checkpoints on the Kazakh-Chinese border will be closed," the statement said.
The restriction applies only to automobile checkpoints. Railroad communication between the countries is not subject to changes, and checkpoints will operate as usual.
