Kyrgyzstan supplied Kazakhstan with over 534 million cubic meters of water

Astana. September 2. KazTAG - Kyrgyzstan supplied Kazakhstan with 534.3 million cubic meters of water during the irrigation season, said the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of Kazakhstan.
"Kyrgyzstan supplied Kazakhstan with 534.3 million cubic meters of water during this irrigation period. Water is supplied to our country via the Shu and Talas rivers. At the same time, 394.3 million cubic meters were supplied via the Talas River, which is 14.3 million cubic meters more than the planned volume," the department reported.
To date, 140 million cubic meters of water have been supplied via the Shu River.
Since the beginning of April, Uzbekistan has supplied Kazakhstan with over 4 billion cubic meters of water via the Syr Darya River. Since June, Tajikistan has transferred 488.6 million cubic meters of water through the interstate Dostyk canal.
