Kazakhstan approved draft agreement with Russia on checkpoints across state border

Astana. November 27. KazTAG - Kazakhstan approved a draft agreement with Russia on checkpoints across the state border.
"Approve the attached draft agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation on the organization of cooperation in the field of development of railway transport and infrastructure, highways, as well as automobile and railway checkpoints across the state border between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation," reads the resolution of the Government of Kazakhstan.
Under the agreement, the parties shall cooperate and ensure coordination of actions in the following areas:
- coordination and implementation of measures to develop the infrastructure of railway transport and sections of highways located on the territory of the states of the parties, as well as automobile and railway checkpoints located on the territory of the states of the parties;
- ensuring proper operational condition and sufficient capacity of transport infrastructure facilities and checkpoints on the territory of the states of the parties;
- exchange of experience and information in the field of development of transport and transport infrastructure;
- other areas of cooperation in the field of development of railway transport and infrastructure, highways, as well as automobile and railway checkpoints across the state border between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, mutually agreed upon by the parties.
