“Following the meetings, a number of bilateral documents were signed. Among them is a document on the design and construction of a submarine fiber-optic communication line along the Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan route. The project is of strategic importance for improving the quality and reliability of communications, expanding data transmission between Asia and Europe. During the talks, the two countries also discussed cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. The Azerbaijani side highly appreciated Kazakhstan’s contribution to the restoration of Karabakh,” said the Cabinet of Ministers following the official visit to Baku of Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
It was previously reported that Kazakhstan increased supplies via the Trans-Caspian route through Azerbaijan by 62% in a year.
