Kulibayevs stopped controlling KBTU after major fire

Astana. March 4. KazTAG – The family of the middle daughter of former President Nursultan Nazarbayev – Dinara Kulibayeva and her husband – oligarch Timur Kulibayev, have stopped controlling the Kazakh-British Technical University (KBTU).
“Information on the composition of shareholders (participants), and (or) on changes in the composition of shareholders (participants) owning ten or more percent of the voting shares (interests) of the issuer: (…) LLP “Company for the Management of Returned Assets,” reads the extract from the depository of financial statements of the Ministry of Finance.
According to the document, the change occurred on February 27.
Previously, the owner of KBTU in Almaty was the "Nursultan Nazarbayev Education Fund", founded by Dinara Kulibayeva, who was its sole founder.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported a fire in the KBTU building on January 11 at around 22:00, but initially did not name the building in which the fire was being extinguished, calling the facility "one of the buildings". Later, firefighters reported difficulties in extinguishing the fire.
