Grain exports in Kazakhstan increased by 53% in September-February

Astana. March 5. KazTAG - From September to February 2024-2025, Kazakhstan exported 5.8 million tons of grain, which is 53% more than in the same period last year, reports the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
"According to JSC NC KTZ, 7.4 million tons of grain were transported in September-February 2024/2025, including 1.6 million tons within the country and 5.8 million tons for export. The growth in export volumes was 53%," reads the report.
The main export destinations were Uzbekistan - 2.2 million tons (growth of 34%), Tajikistan - 857 thousand tons (growth of 49%), Afghanistan - 248 thousand tons (growth of 36%). Deliveries to Iran increased by 18 times to 700 thousand tons, to Azerbaijan – by 90 times to 363 thousand tons.
In January-February 2025, 466 thousand tons of flour were also transported, of which 314 thousand tons were sent for export.
By the end of 2024, the total volume of grain transportation was 10.6 million tons (2.5 million tons domestically and 8.1 million tons for export), and flour - 3.2 million tons (817 thousand tons domestically and 2.4 million tons for export).
