Bektenov held operational meeting on situation around Ukraine

Astana. November 22. KazTAG – Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held an operational meeting on the situation around Ukraine.
“Bektenov held an operational meeting on the implementation of the instructions of the head of state on taking urgent measures to ensure the security of the main military and civilian facilities in connection with the situation around Ukraine with the leadership of the ministries of defense, internal affairs, emergency situations, foreign affairs, health, transport, energy, industry and construction, national economy, finance,” said the report.
The prime minister heard information from Defense Minister Ruslan Zhaksylykov on the work being done to ensure the protection of strategic and infrastructure facilities and set a number of tasks aimed at strengthening the actions of government agencies. Attention was paid to issues of maintaining stability and public order, the safety of transport communications, the activities of life support facilities and others.
"The leadership of the authorized structures has been instructed to keep special control over the execution of the president's instructions to ensure security and promptly report on changes in the situation," said the Cabinet of Ministers.
Ukraine had used Western-made long-range missiles against Russia, and the Kremlin responded by striking Ukrainian territory with a ballistic missile launched from the Kapustin Yar test site bordering Kazakhstan. On the night of November 22, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to take urgent security measures due to the escalation of the situation around Ukraine.
