“Another comedian has been arrested for 10 days. Stand-up comedian Alexander Merkul has been sent to a temporary detention facility,” reads the message.
The authors of the message said they do not know the exact reason for the arrest.
“But according to our information, it was for a reel in which he used obscene language and also joked about “Zhana Kazakhstan,” reads the report.
The editorial board of KazTAG suggests that the Ministry of Internal Affairs consider this publication a request for comments regarding the situation.
