Almaty. November 8. KazTAG – Almaty is restoring its own production of food and beverages, to 89.3% and 91.3%, respectively, by the end of the third quarter of 2024.
“Based on the results of nine months of 2024, the food production index increased from 84.6% in January 2024 to 89.3%, beverages – from 56.9% to 91.3%,” the report said on Friday.
In the first half of the year, the gross regional product of Almaty grew up by 3.5%, and Kazakhstan’s GDP – by 3.2%.
"The drivers of economic growth were transport, which grew up by 21.6%, and construction - by 11%," reads the report.
In January-September 2024, the short-term economic indicator of Almaty accelerated to 104.1%. The business activity index in September rose to 53.4%.
In general, by the end of 2024, the city administration expects the economic growth of Almaty at the level of 5.5%, and in 2025 - 6.4%.
