"The NSC is implementing comprehensive measures to counter threats to public security from transnational and regional criminal groups. In 2024, the National Security Committee, together with the police, suppressed the activities of 19 especially dangerous organized crime groups,” reads the report.
72 leaders and active participants of organized crime groups were brought to criminal responsibility for committing serious and especially serious crimes.
“A total of 98 people were detained on suspicion of committing murders, robberies, extortion, robberies and other serious crimes, including accomplices of foreign criminal leaders. Of these, 40 were convicted, and pre-trial investigations are still underway for the rest,” said the committee.
