Astana. April 23. KazTAG - T1 billion allocated to combat the consequences of floods was embezzled in Kazakhstan, reports the press service of the Financial Monitoring Agency .
“We would like to remind you that, on behalf of the head of state, the government, quasi-state companies, entrepreneurs, and public funds have already allocated over T140 billion. The head of the AFM instructed to ensure the targeted use of the money allocated to eliminate the consequences, so that it actually reaches all affected citizens. Thus, financial monitoring authorities in the city of Almaty, Aktobe and Kyzylorda regions, as well as in the Ulytau region have opened four cases on embezzlement cases. Five persons have been identified as suspects. The total amount of damage exceeded T1 billion,” the statement said.
