Russia to suspend operation of two border checkpoints with Kazakhstan

Astana. January 17. KazTAG – Russia is going to temporarily suspend two border checkpoints with Kazakhstan, reports the press service of Rosgranstroy.
“Starting February 1, 2025, the passage of vehicles and cargo through the Orsk and Mashtakovo automobile checkpoints in the Orenburg region on the border with Kazakhstan will be temporarily suspended due to the closure of the adjacent Alimbet and Syrym checkpoints for scheduled repairs,” reads the report.
The reconstruction work may take up to 16 months.
