Over-the-counter purchases of yuan and US dollars fell sharply in Kazakhstan in December

Astana. January 10. KazTAG –Over-the-counter purchases of US dollars in December compared to November 2024 decreased by 13%, to $7.3 billion, yuan – by 35 times, to 4.2 million yuan, British pounds – by five times to 100 thousand pounds, reports the National Bank.
According to the document, euro purchases increased by 1.8 times, to 62.4 million euros, and Russian ruble purchases by 1.6 times, to 29 billion rubles.
The average weighted purchase rate of the US dollar on average amounted to T522.07, Russian ruble – T5.11, euro – T544.44, yuan – T71.82, British pound – T660.76.
