New avalanche control system tested in five avalanche-prone areas in East Kazakhstan

Ust-Kamenogorsk. January 16. KazTAG - The new Daisybell avalanche control system has been tested in five avalanche-prone areas in the East Kazakhstan region, reports the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
"In the East Kazakhstan region, a new anti-avalanche system Daisybell was successfully tested in five avalanche-prone areas along the Oskemen city - Samar village road (95-102 km). The event was organized using a helicopter of JSC Kazaviaspas of the Ministry of Emergency Situations," reads the report.
Daisybell is a metal cone that is attached to a helicopter with a cable and is used for controlled descent of snow mass to prevent avalanches.
