Man convicted in Kostanay for lying about war between Russia and Kazakhstan

Kostanay. April 25. KazTAG – A man was convicted in Kostanay for telling fake stories about the war between Russia and Kazakhstan, Court No. 2 reported.
“There was a conflict between Karabalyk border guards on the border of Kazakhstan. The Russian side did something, they say they shot. Here they are going there. Horror, a war has started in Kostanay,” the man commented on the video, which he then sent to a group chat on WhatsApp.
The video shows a column of military equipment. The Ministry of Internal Affairs replied that it was a fake. In fact, it was equipment from a military unit of the National Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which was moving to a training ground for firing practice.
The video ended up on YouTube. The news that war had allegedly begun caused a public outcry.
The 52-year-old resident of Kostanay admitted his guilt and repented of his actions. The case was considered by the court in an abbreviated manner.
