Kazakhstan has almost restored its position in terms of foreign investment inflow - MFA

Astana. June 24. KazTAG - Kazakhstan has almost restored its positions in terms of gross foreign direct investment inflows lost in 2020, said Almas Aidarov , Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
“ Kazakhstan fell significantly, by almost 38%, in terms of investments : from KZT24.4 trillion to KZT17.2 trillion in 2020. In 2021, the country almost recovered investments inflow, up to T23.7 trillion,” said the message.
According to him, the most significant increase in gross direct investment from China - by 92% to $1.8 billion, Turkey - by 87% to $0.68 billion, Korea - by 73% to $0.8 billion.
“The Netherlands remains the largest investor - $6.97 billion, the increase in investments in Kazakhstan from this country amounted to 35% in 2021,” Aidarov said.
