Astana. June 23. KazTAG - Kazakhstan demands from Russia to strengthen control over  energy drinks because of dangerous preservatives, said the press service of the Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Control.
“The Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Control, following the results of monitoring the safety of products sold in the trading network of the Kostanay region, revealed an excess of sodium benzoate (E211) in non-alcoholic carbonated energy drinks Flash and also excessive caffeine and taurine (163.3 mg / l) and Monster Energy (173, 72 mg/l). The Committee sent a notification to Rospotrebnadzor about taking the products of these manufacturers for enhanced laboratory control,” said the report.
Beverage producers are Baltika Brewing Company LLC (Russian Federation) and Refresco Benelux B.V (Kingdom of the Netherlands).
The products have been withdrawn from sale, and the supplier is ordered to take measures to withdraw drinks from circulation.
