Italian authorities declared cause of bridge collapse in Genoa

Almaty. August 15. KazTAG - Failures in current service was the case of bridge collapse in Genoa, Italy, said Danilo Toninelli, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure.
"I am sorry to say that there was a lack of current servicing, the accident, unfortunately, has proved it," he said to Rai TV channel.
He does not exclude that the bridge might have collapsed because of the works conducted on it lately. He said such tragedies must not happen "in such a civilized country as Italy".
The accident occurred on August 14 at A10 motorway. 35 passenger cars and 3 lorries were driving on the bridge. The cars fell from 70 m height.
31 people died. Many people have seriously suffered.
