Inflation increased in April in Kazakhstan

Astana. May 5. KazTAG - Inflation in Kazakhstan for April 2021, compared to March, amounted to 0.9%, from April 2020 - 7%, reports the statistics agency.
“The increase in prices was recorded for beets by 17.1%, potatoes - by 12%, carrots - by 10.5%, sunflower oil - by 2.7%, granulated sugar - by 2.5%, chicken legs - by 2.3%, fresh fruit - by 2%, lamb - by 1.7%, meat products - by 1.2%, cereals - by 1%, pork - by 0.9%, pasta, tea, pasteurized milk - 0.8% each, flour – by 0.7%, beef – by 0.6%. Mineral and drinking water rose in price by 2%, soft drinks - by 0.9%, alcoholic beverages - by 0.7%, ”said the report.
The prices declined for cucumbers by 9.6%, oranges - by 1.5%, tomatoes - by 1.1%, rice - by 0.6%.
In April 2021, prices for food products increased by 1%, non-food products - by 1%, paid services - by 0.5%.
