Almaty. April 25. KazTAG - A fourth-fifth part of the population of Kazakhstan is on the level of survival, said Gulmira Ileuova, president of the center of social and political research.
"Our observations in the past 10 years showed that a fourth-fifth part of the population is on the level of survival, these people have money only for food, while they can hardly buy any clothes," she said at the presentation of research "On estimation of level of material well-being of population of Kazakhstan".
She said the official statistics showed growth of salaries throughout the state every year.
"Meanwhile, the average monthly budget of Kazakhstan's family in 2017 was 136.5 thousand tenge, meanwhile, an average family of 4 people has 22400 tenge monthly revenue. Taking in account, that minimum salary in Kazakhstan was 24400 tenge last year, we can imagine that the majority of people live on the verge of this minimum," she said.
