“By the order of Yerlan Turgumbayev, Minister of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan, Nurlan Massimov has been removed from the post of head of police department in the Pavlodar region, according to the submitted report. Zhaskayrat Kairov has been appointed as acting head of the police department of Pavlodar region,” said the message.
Nurlan Massimov, who is a cousin of former chairman of the National Security Committee Karim Massimov, has been the head of the Pavlodar region since November 2019.
