"You know, I think it is necessary to increase responsibility of those people who build summer houses. I believe it is the fault of constructors who built the house. Requirements to performance of fire safety norms must be enhanced for any building," he said to the journalists.
He recalled that in Soviet times, firefighters went into houses and fined for violation of fire safety regulations, after which there was wide public rejection.
“Do you know what arguments they had? This is my accommodation. They said: "My house, my fortress, go away." And now it is like this either, ”said V. Bozhko.
He added the investigation will determine whether the rules of construction were violated.
“What happened, I looked at these five girls, my heart was bleeding. Such nice beautiful girls, well- dressed, their parents worked hard. But the saddest thing is that someone built the house with violations of all conceivable and inconceivable rules," he added.
