"Relocation of the regional center in Turkestan is a big pride and responsibility for us. Turkestan is becoming the center of Turkic world; its international significance is growing. A new administrative-business center will be built in the regional center as well as cultural objects, sports complexes and trade centers. International scientific, religious, cultural forums will be held there. A new airport and a bus station will be built in the city for tourism development," said Zhanseit Tiumebayev, akim of the Turkestan region.
The old railways station will be repaired.
"We will launch the projects for development of intentional gardening and increase of industrial production," he added.
