70% of beds are vacant, but the city health department continues to increase the number of beds - Nadyrov

Almaty. August 10. KazTAG -  70% of beds are vacant in Almaty, but the public health department keeps on increasing the number of beds, said Kamalzhan Nadyrov, head of health care department of Almaty.
"As for the beds capacity, today almost 70% of beds are vacant. Despite this, we continue increasing their number. We are going to increase the beds capacity to up to 7 thousand beds. But it is important to understand that the success of the fight against the coronavirus is not in the number of vacant beds or in the equipment of clinics, the main thing is in our discipline to comply with all the orders of our sanitary doctors," he said.
In his words, the forecast for the growth of coronavirus incidence in autumn will depend on people's compliance with anti-epidemic measures.
