Which foreign banks are entering financial market of Kazakhstan

Astana. October 17. KazTAG - Three foreign banks are opening branches in Kazakhstan: all of them are at different stages of entering the country's financial market, said Madina Abylkasymova, chairperson of the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market.
"We have already issued permission for the South Korean financial holding BNK Financial Group to open a bank in Kazakhstan. Now they are in the process of obtaining a license for banking activities. In addition, a Qatari investor entered our country by buying Bereke Bank from Baiterek. We are also currently working on expanding the presence of the United Arab Emirates bank. This is Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank . This is the third bank in terms of assets, with assets of $155 billion in the Emirates. They currently control an Islamic bank in Kazakhstan. They also plan to obtain permission to provide universal banking services,” said Abylkasymova on the sidelines of the Majilis.
