“Here is a story about indifference to people and how we got stuck for 2.5 hours in a cable car. I wouldn’t make a fuss if @shymbulakmountainresort acted adequately, in a customer-oriented way and loyal to their customers,” said TikTok user Amir Mirzoyev.
The post was accompanied by a video confirming that the author was inside a stopped cable car.
According to the author of the video, visitors to the resort spent 2.5 hours on the cable car and were very cold, despite the fact that they were warmly dressed.
Another visitor, who found herself in the same situation, reported on Instagram that stranded tourists who spent more than an hour on the cable car could not get through to the call center of Shymbulak and had to call the rescue service at 112.
“As a result, when we went down, there was not a single employee of Shymbulak who would apologize for the inconvenience, explain the situation of what happened and the reasons, nobody organized a small place where people could warm up and drink tea! There were children among us!,” wrote a visitor to the resort.
After information about the incident was published on social networks, Mirzoyev received a message from Shymbulak offering free balloon rides and a day pass for the cable car.
“The resort had the opportunity to make a normal apology to all people, but instead they gave a balloon ride and a day ski pass,” Mirzoyev said indignantly.
